For Anthologies:

Q: Will I have to pay to be published in an anthology?

A: Quite the opposite - we pay you for your work! For anthologies, contributors receive either a one-time stipend, or receive royalties for a set amount of time.

Q: Do you get copyright of my work?

A: No! For anthologies, YOU retain the copyright to your work. We do ask you to sign a contract stating that you are allowing Ardent Dawn to publish your work in the anthology, with whatever formats are included (i.e. print, digital, audio), but we cannot publish elsewhere. We also retain the right to first publishing.

Q: How soon until I can republish my work?

A: That depends on your contract. We retain the right to first publishing for a set amount of time, and for the most part, it is one year - and royalties are administered for that time period only.

Q: Will I be credited for my work?

A: 100% yes! We try to include author names on the cover, but if there are too many, then we include them inside the book, and your name appears every time one of your stories comes up. We also include author biographies in our work.

Q: What if I decide I want to rescind my submission?

A: That's completely fine. You have the right to do whatever you want with your work, and may rescind it before publication. However, please read the following:

If your work has been edited by the editor(s), you will not receive those edits.
- Q: Why can't I have my edits if I rescind my submission?
- A: If you would like your work edited but do not want to publish with us, please consider hiring a professional editor. We can recommend someone to you. If you decide you still require the edits, please contact us so we can discuss your situation.
If you have been paid your stipend, you are not required to return it.

Q: I have an idea for an anthology. Will Ardent Dawn publish it?
